Confirmation and Rate Availability

Eligibility: This rate is exclusively offered to Travel and Media Industry professionals and requires secondary confirmation to secure the booking.

Industry Definition:

o Travel Industry includes professionals from travel agencies and airlines.

o Media Industry encompasses employees from television stations, radio stations, and print media organizations.

Booking Confirmation Process

o After completing your online booking, you must provide the required information via email to confirm your reservation. Please send the details to reservations.maldive@groupbanyan.com

o To verify your eligibility, you can:

o Submit the information within 24 hours of completing your online booking. Failure to provide the details within this timeframe may result in automatic cancellation of your reservation without further notice.

o The Reservations Team will review your submission and notify you via email regarding the final booking confirmation. If your company does not qualify under the Travel or Media Industry, the booking will be automatically canceled.

Use a company email address containing your name and company domain, and include your company name and contact number.

Use a personal email address, attaching a copy of your business card, staff ID, or work permit.

Check-In Requirements:

o Proof of employment, such as a business card, staff ID, or work permit, must be presented at check-in.

o The booking holder (a Travel and Media Industry professional) must check in with the guest. If the booking holder is absent at check-in, the hotel reserves the right to adjust the room rate to the Best Available Rate listed on the hotel’s website for the check-in date.

Return Seaplane Transfer

Return Seaplane rates at USD 555 net per adult (12 years & above)

USD 350 net per child (2-11.99 years old)

Infant (below 1.99 years) on a complimentary basis

The above rates are inclusive of a 27.6% service charge and taxes.

Check-In & Check-Out Policy

Check-in time: From 2:00 PM (1400H)

Check-out time: By 12:00 PM (noon)

Early check-in & late check-out: Subject to availability.

No-Show & Early Departure

No-show: Full charges apply for the total confirmed stay.

Early departure: No refunds; full charges apply for the remaining nights.

Reservation Guarantee & Cancellation

Payment Requirement: Payment must be completed via a secured E-link to guarantee the reservation.

Non-Guaranteed Reservations: Reservations without a completed payment will be automatically canceled without prior notice according to the cancellation deadline.

Children & Infant Policy

Infants (0 – 3.99 years) stay and dine complimentary when sharing existing bedding or in a baby cot (subject to availability).

Additional Children (4 – 11.99 years) pays extra person supplement you may select after click ‘BOOK NOW’ button.

InOcean Villas: Not recommended for children under 12 years due to safety concerns. Parents who choose to book assume full responsibility.

Green Tax of USD12 nett per person per night is chargeable payable at resort (Infants under 2 years old are exempted) 

Deposit & Cancellation Policies

Free Cancellation is available until 30 days prior to arrival.

Cancellations made within 30 days of arrival will incur a 100% charge of the total booking amount.

Full pre-payment is required 30 days before arrival to guarantee the booking.

Seaplane Transfers

Angsana Velavaru is approximately a 40-minute seaplane journey from Velana International Airport, followed by a short 5-minute speedboat ride.  This is mandatory, and for your convenience, we will arrange it on your behalf.

Seaplanes are operated by a third party company and are designed for water take-off and landing.  Therefore, their flying times are restricted to daylight hours (between 6:00 am and 3:30 pm only) by the Maldives Civil Aviation Authority.

Important Reminders

Arrival Information:

Your international flight must land in Malé before 3:30 pm; otherwise, you need to arrange your overnight accommodation and transportation to Malé or Hulhumale on your arrival date.

Please advise the resort of your hotel accommodation details to our resort for us to coordinate your next-day seaplane timings to your hotel in Malé or Hulhumale.

Seaplane timings are only released one day before the schedule.

Angsana Velavaru’s airport representative will meet and assist you.  You may also proceed to counter A16 for further assistance.

You are entitled to enjoy the usage of Vilu Business Lounge at the Seaplane Terminal including complimentary Wi-Fi, Food & Beverage (Buffet / Á la carte) and Mother’s Room while waiting for the seaplane transfers.

Departure Information:

If you have an early morning international flight departing from Malé before 9:00 am, we would advise you to arrange your overnight accommodation in Malé or Hulhumale one night before your departure date to ensure that you are on time for your international flight’s check-in and departure.

The resort has no control over the seaplane schedules, which can be affected by weather conditions.

Please note that the seaplane operator imposes the following luggage restrictions:

20 kg for checked luggage and 5 kg for hand luggage with no additional charge.

Excess weight incurs USD 5 plus taxes per kg, payable directly at the seaplane check-in counter.  The rate may change without prior notice.

Infants (0-2 years) are not entitled to a complimentary baggage allowance.  However, a baby stroller can be carried without additional charges.

The number of bags and handbags is not limited to one piece.  The entire 25 kg can be used for check-in luggage if the guest does not have a handbag.

No special extra allowance for water sports gear such as scuba diving equipment, surfboards, and similar equipment.
